How To Parfocal Your Stereo Zoom Microscope

Setting up a stereo microscope properly so that image being viewed is parfocaled during the entire zoom range is important to avoid headaches, stressful eyes and fatigue. To do so focal the steps below:

1. Turn the diopter adjustment rings of both eyepieces to position zero.

2. Put a specimen such as a coin on the base or stage plate

3. Turn the zoom adjustment knob to the lowest magnification

4. Rotate the focus adjustment knob to bring the specimen into focus

5. Turn the zoom adjustment knob to the highest magnification

6. Rotate the focus adjustment knob to bring the specimen into focus

7. Turn the zoom adjustment knob to the lowest magnification.

8. Rotate the diopter adjustment rings of the left and right eyepieces to bring the specimen in focus

9. Turn the zoom adjustment knob to the highest magnification and check the image focusing.

The stereo microscope should now be parfocaled. The image should in focus through the complete zoom range, ie from high to low and low to high

Superior Optics, No Computer Required: Aven’s Cyclops MICRO Digital Microscope

Aven’s Cyclops Micro Digital Microscope combines ease of use with crystal clear, superior optics. Aven’s Cyclops Digital Microscopes are designed so operators may remain in a comfortable position without the need to repeatedly look through microscope eyepieces.

This system is equipped with a micro zoom lens, providing 29x-185x magnification (based on a 24” HD monitor) and 18.3mm-2.8mm field of view. The micro zoom lens provides crystal clear images directly to your HD monitor, and the universal c-mount is compatible with most standard inspection lenses or trinocular microscopes.

The metal stand is equipped with a fine focus adjustment knob to finely tune the focus or working distance. Includes a 60 LED ring light with a brightness control box. The wireless infra-red remote controls access settings via your HD monitor.

Superior Optics, No Computer Required: Aven’s Cyclops MACRO Digital Microscope

Aven’s Cyclops Macro Digital Microscope combines ease of use with crystal clear, superior optics. Aven’s Cyclops Digital Microscopes are designed so operators may remain in a comfortable position without the need to repeatedly look through microscope eyepieces.

This system is equipped with a macro zoom lens, providing 3x-43x magnification (based on a 24” HD monitor) and 11mm-142mm field of view. The macro zoom lens provides crystal clear images directly to your HD monitor, and the universal c-mount is compatible with most standard inspection lenses or trinocular microscopes.

The metal stand is equipped with a fine focus adjustment knob to finely tune the focus or working distance. Includes dual LED pipe lights with brightness control and wireless infra-red remote control to access settings via your HD monitor.
